Causes of femoral mononeuropathy
Femoral mononeuropathy may occur secondary to direct injury, compression, stretching, or ischemia. This condition causes weakness mainly of the quadriceps muscle, which leads to difficulty walking. Iatrogenic causes
Iatrogenic causes of femoral mononeuropathy include direct pressure or nerve injury during pelvic, abdominal, or spinal surgery, or focal damage in the femoral triangle due to difficult femoral line placement.
