Long before the game's premiere, the creators promised that the game would live up to its secretive nature, and they kept their word. The Alien character can be compared to Nemesis or Pyramid Head, because it is impossible to kill him during normal gameplay. And I want to add that I've hidden in places like this several times and always come out of there safe and sound. This once again shows how unpredictable this game is.
Synthetic cyborgs are a completely different case. Sometimes they treat us neutrally, sometimes they react when we do something wrong, and sometimes they mechanically say, "How can I help you?" grab us by the throat and throw us against the wall. Sometimes their presence causes the same stress as the presence of Someone Else. When we hide in the fan, they can stand over us, throwing the text "I'm definitely not going in there" or "I'm going to find you anyway". Do you think you're safe hiding under the table?
